Jonathan Rush

Jon is currently the Lead Character Artist at BattleCry Studios (Bethesda Softworks) following work at EA Bioware, where he contributed primarily on the acclaimed MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Jon has been working in the video game industry since 2001. In this time, he has had the privilege of working with some of the top publishers in the world, such as Zenimax, Activision, and Electronic Arts.

He has contributed to blockbuster titles such as Star Wars: The Old Republic, Tomb Raider Underworld, and Gun, to name a few.

Originally attending college as a Studio Arts major with a focus on trompe l'oeil painting, Jon realized how he could merge two life-long passions into an opportunistic career – art, and video games!

'Learning how to make my creations come to life, in a way that I could interact with them in a 3D environment, was an exciting and surreal experience. Going a step further, becoming part of a specialized team, and seeing this effort put to work and displayed on store shelves, has been an absolute dream come true.'

Jon has been an avid member of the CG-Talk community for many years. He is always striving to learn more about his craft, and enjoys helping others, through online critiques and demonstrations.
