It is old news that Disney and Pixar intend to produce the sequel to the much loved 2004 animated superhero blockbuster The Incredibles. But since that announcement over a year ago, there has been much conjecture about whether Brad Bird will once again be part of the creative team.

Thankfully, yes he is! During an interview that promoted his work on Disney’s upcoming Tomorrowland, he spilled the beans that the highly anticipated sequel will indeed be the next film he works on. When asked if he had anything completed, Bird said that he had  “pages, a bunch of pages. I had a lot of ideas for the original Incredibles that I didn’t get a chance to use, that I like. I have ideas that I wanted to pursue a little bit and there wasn’t enough time in Incredibles. There are new ideas I have, and I think there are enough of those together to make an interesting movie. I’m just focusing on getting Tomorrowland out into the world and playing with The Incredibles sandbox again.”

OK, that was tantalizing enough, but then he talks about possibly being part of Star Wars in the future… just watch the video, already!
