Rebelle is an award-winning watercolor and acrylic painting program created by Escape Motions, a small studio of creatives dedicated to developing innovative digital tools. Its watercolor simulation is based on a real-world color mixing, blending, wet-diffusion, and drying. Rebelle convincingly mimics the way natural media interacts with the canvas and itself. Users can paint, smear, re-wet dried colors, blow wet washes across the paper, tilt the paper to create water drops and runs and create countless fantastic watercolor effects.

Artwork by Tim Shelbourne: "The genius of Rebelle for me is that you're aware that there is a really sophisticate brush engine in the background, but as the end-user you control this power in a simple, uncomplicated way, within a wonderfully streamlined interface."

The newest version of the software, Rebelle 2, integrates groundbreaking improvements, watercolor and acrylic brushes. An unprecedented realistic look together with watercolor masking fluid gives an exceptional traditional feel to any digital painting.

In addition, a completely new brush engine allows users to create custom brushes - round, flat, bamboo, various wet splatters, sponges and many others. Moreover, Rebelle’s various wet tools - watercolors, acrylics or ink pen can be combined with pastels, pencils or any other dry media tools, in wonderfully intuitive ways.

"It's amazing! The physics are really spot on. Aside from its standalone quality, for me this will eliminate endless hunting online for quality watercolor resources." - Francis Aeonic

This new super charged version comes with full multi-touch support and layered PSD support. All these convenient features are wrapped in an agreeable and easy to use interface with a simple learning curve. In addition, the watercolors that contributed to the success of the first version watercolors are even more creative and, in addition to the other tools, such as acrylics, now have an extraordinary authentic look.

Artwork by Junkyard Sam: "I am absolutely blown away by the update - I feel like this is some great dream I don't want to wake up from! I'm raising my recommendation from being a tool you "should" buy to a tool you "MUST" buy."
