TRON Legacy at LA Chapter

Twenty-eight years ago when the Los Angeles SIGGRAPH Chapter was formed, the first presentation was on TRON. Join the artists at Digital Domain as they discuss the new installment in the story of code writer Flynn. Also, present will be visual effects artists from the 1982 TRON. Two panels will compare and contrast the evolution of the effects employed in this highly successful franchise.

This one night only event will feature presentations by the multi award-winning Special and Visual Effects industry professionals who worked on both the classic original 1984 'Tron' and the just released 'Tron: Legacy'.
Featured speakers include Richard Taylor, Visual Effects Supervisor; Kenneth Mirman, Art Director, Abel & Associates; Jonathan Scheele, Effects Digital Supervisor, Digital Domain on the 'Pioneers Panel' from the original Tron film. Speakers on the 'Tron: Legacy' panel will include Scott Meadows, Previz & Layout Supervisor; Jonathan Litt, Lighting Supervisor; and Matthias Wittmann, Animation Supervisor.

FEE / REGISTRATION:
Admittance is free to members of the Los Angeles Chapter of ACM SIGGRAPH. Non-members may attend and pay a $20 visitor registration fee. Anyone who joins the Los Angeles Chapter of ACM SIGGRAPH onsite at this event and pays the $40 annual membership fee, (cash or check only), will not have to pay the $20 visitor registration fee.
