Pete Candeland is renowned in the London TVC director circles for the Gorillaz music videos and that amazing Harmonix 'Rockband II', but with 'Stadium UK', the grandness of the four yearly contest of sports is captured beautifully.
Sweeping tracks of a selection of sports, mixes of athletes and locations throughout the recognisable landmarks for the city.
The campaign was devised by executive creative director Damon Collins and a team of creatives at Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R. The campaign is designed to be used across all the BBC’s television, radio and digital Olympic content and it features specially commissioned music by Elbow. As well as the 60 sec trailer there is a two minute-40-sec film which they will be able to show on Passion’s website on 27th July, the opening night of the Games.
