The creators of the Double Happy vs. The Infinite Sadness were awarded a major innovation award in Sydney.
The Adelaide company devised the multi-platform transmedia project, encompassing a point-and-click adventure game, a series of animations, games and comics detailing the manic adventures of two edgy-cute neo-pop rabbits.
This transmedia project and theme by Monkey Stack and Justin Wight is also being adopted by Ballistic Media in a partnership Creature Design Contest staged on their Game-Artist forum at the moment. There is about two weeks to run on the contest.
The Peter Rasmussen Innovation Award is given each year to an Australian whose work in film, machinima or other new media embodies a visionary spirit and a restless determination to create high-quality works for the screen.
Visit their evolving world at doublehappyrabbits.com and hear Justin Wight speak at The Future of the Cinema Experience talk in Sydney Film Festival Hub @ Lower Town Hall on Saturday 16 June.
