Turtle renderer for Maya

Tue 22nd Jul 2003 | News

Described as a "radically faster renderer for Maya" with a semantically contradictory product name "Turtle" and a hare for its logo, Illuminate Labs will reveal this new raytracer at SIGGRAPH 2003. Turtle for Maya is based on the LiquidLight rendering technology, which offers fast global illumination and advanced lighting.

Turtle for Maya will offer advanced lighting and global illumination at "radically" faster speeds.

One of the key features of Turtle will be its seamless integration with Maya.

Turtle for Maya has been in beta since Spring 2003 and has a commercial launch in Q4 2003. The full product will be on display at the Illuminate Labs booth #2447 at SIGGRAPH.
