• The Ark
    new website www.thearkfilm.com devoted to a new short film “Ark” by Grzegorz Jonkajtys has been launched. It allows you to watch a
    trailer promoting this production as well as find a lot of information about the animation and its creators.


    Prepared in co-operation with Marcin Kobylecki, “Ark” is Grzegorz Jonkajtys’s second animated film, but it is the first one to be distributed in cinemas. His debut film, “Mantis”, made in 2001 gained public recognition and won numerous awards at international festivals.

    Grzegorz Jonkajtys graduated from The Department of Graphics at the Academy of Fine Art in Warsaw in 1997 and received an honorable mention from the dean of the Academy. He is now a computer graphics and 3D animation specialist and is currently working for Café FX (www.cafefx.com) which deals with special effects for blockbuster effects on major studio features.Image05

    He has been at Café FX for three years now, where he creates effects for feature films and TVCs. He has worked on such films as “The League of Gentlemen”, “Gothika”, “Hellboy”, “SinCity”, “Pan’s Labyrinth”. His latest solo effort “Ark” will be shown in cinemas at the end of this year.

    Marcin Kobylecki is an executive producer for Platige Image (www.platige.com), one of the most prolific and successful CG animation studios in Poland. He is the executive producer of the short films “The Cathedral” and “Fallen Art”, among others. Both these films are available on DVD via the CGProShop.
