A small team called POSEIDON from the NCCA@Bournemouth University has created a short animation called Poly's Feast' for the BFX. The BFX is a six week student competition which sees teams of four to six, tasked with creating a stunning 2D or 3D visual effects or animation sequence, based on a passage from classic literature. They were mentored by experts from the leading British studios including Framestore, Double Negative, The Mill, MPC, Realise Studios, Hibbert Ralph Animation and Cinesite. The best individuals on the winning teams are given the opportunity to take up internships at some of the studios taking part in BFX. The Competition is the sister event to the BFX Animation and VFX Festival in Bournemouth, UK.
The POSEIDON team is comprised of students from the Bournemouth University. They are Simone Giampaolo, Tuomo Rinne, Robert Stratton, Henrik Lervåg Linnes, Alexandra Birchmore and Wojtek Zankowski.
