Mon 1st Jul 2013 | News

At a recent user event in Utrecht Vladimir “Vlado” Koylazov talked about some of the things we can expect to see in V-Ray 3.0. While no promises or timings were officially given the list of areas that would be touched is exciting.

Here is a list some of the areas that will see the benefit of the improvements:

Brute force rendering speed improvements

Max ray intensity

Progressive rendering

Hair rendering

Vismat materials

Vismat editor

Vertex merging

V-Ray RT GPU

Maya Viewport

Automatic asset transfer for DR – No more missing maps EVER!
Render Subset
Trace sets
Opens Shading Language
Metaballs (isosurfaces)
Deep images and OpenEXR 2.0 support

When?........When it’s ready, but likely this year.
