In a item reported in Develop mag, the regional agency Invest Quebec has announced that the Montreal workforce has grown 277 percent in only two years.

Ubisoft Montreal has become the biggest employer in the Quebec province of Canada, with 1,609 employees to date.  This will be booming further, due to an expansion plan announced earlier in the year which will possible bring the total closer to 3,000.

The worm on the hook has undoubtedly been the tax incentives in the region, which has drawn game publishers to the area over the past few years.

The report also points to A2M as being the second biggest, and EA Montreal in third place with 380 employees.
