Luxology ships Texture Painting Tutorials for modo 601.
When modo 601 was released, there were a great many new features and upgrades. Now to help users get a stronger hold on texture painting, Luxology has released a set of video tutorials hosted by London illustrator, Richard Yot. Richard is know by many for his insightful video tutorials in digital painting texturing and retopology, but also his animations and presentations. Detail creation of photorealistic textures with modo 601’s Painting Tools.
The project-based lessons demonstrate how to use modo’s paint tools, Shader Tree, and the Preview Renderer to produce custom photorealistic textures for a tree frog, a corroded oil drum and a classic leather chair. This downloadable course features nearly four hours of video content and includes 6 LXO files and 62 assorted images, comprising of the most comprehensive guide to modo painting that has ever been released. The tutorials are available now in the Luxology store and are priced at $35.
Richard Yot is a London-based illustrator who creates quirky characters and worlds for them to inhabit. Last year, Richard used his years of painting, photography, and 3D experience to write a practical and extensive guide to light for both traditional and digital artists. The book teaches fundamentals that can be applied across all artistic disciplines and covers both the story-telling uses of lighting as well as the technical background necessary to put it all into action.
