Luxology brings in the IKinema Solver with RunTime technology to modo 601.
Known for its game animation middleware, IKinema’s technology is now being used to bring professional rigging and interactive posing capabilities to modo 601’s new character animation tools.
Highly flexible rigging and joint manipulation technology has been adapted for modo 601’s new character animation tools. Fusing IKinema's RunTime technology with Luxology's modo 601 has resulted in the creation of powerful new character animation tools for the 3D community. Professional IK support for complex rigs and interactive posing capabilities for simple creations are big part of why character animators have something new to smile about.
“Bringing IKinema tech into modo was a smooth process for us,” said Brad Peebler, president and founder of Luxology. “We also found that once it was in, the flexibility of the code allowed us to adapt it to a wide range of applications, from simple-to-use posing tools to sophisticated IK support for complex character rigs. Each an essential piece of the modo 601 character animation experience.”
“Getting animators in touch with their work faster is what we do,” said Alexandre Pechev, CEO of IKinema. "And in the right hands, our production-proven easy animation system can do big things for those with big ideas. modo 601 is a great example of that, and we are pleased that our technology will have a hand in making its users’ visions come alive.”
