‘front’ is the new name for Framestore CFC’s interactive technology that manages post-production services for clients. The system, launched last year, has already established itself internationally with clients such as BMP, McCann Erickson, DFGW, Leagas Delaney, AMV BBDO, Leo Burnett Chicago, Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper, the COI, HRA, Academy, and Visitor LA already used the system successfully.
With its own micro-site accessible through the Framestore CFC website, front offers clients a broad range of services at the click of a mouse. Facilities include an archiving service for finished commercials, artwork and soundtracks, instant data couriering, online approvals of work-in-progress, in-suite streaming and, of course, online bookings for playouts, dubs, encodes and telestreams.
"front is a genuinely exciting service" enthuses Jane White, Framestore CFC Client Services Director, "Its simplicity, speed and efficiency completely overhauls the commercials production process. With front, clients can access all stages of work in progress and finished archives, wherever they are via the internet, with their set top box(es) allowing them to instantly view DVD quality pictures on any connected TV. They can create showreels for emailing or presentations"
One of the many projects that have used front services in recent months include ‘Cow and Bear’, a spot for Eggo waffles in the U.S. "The agency is based in Chicago and the director lives in L.A.," recalls Lara Hopkins, Framestore CFC Producer, "So the fact that we could actually make the time difference work to our advantage, working all day on the spot and having it instantly available to our clients who were starting their day, was incredibly useful."
