Ford Entertainment Group International, producers of intelligent solutions for the visual effects community, today announced the LightWave® 7.5 Character Animation Training Tour. The highly anticipated tour will showcase LightWave 3D's powerful character animation tools and include hands-on training taught by experienced industry professionals. Co-sponsored by Luxology, Hewlett-Packard, nVidia, Next Limit, Desktop Images, Digital Juice and Artbeats, the tour's West Coast leg begins October 31 and runs through November 17, 2002. Tour Details, Dates and Locations
The LightWave 7.5 Character Animation Tour will consist of in-depth training on intermediate and advanced methods and techniques including modeling as related to character setup, character rigging, animation concepts and features, and advanced animation techniques.
The tour will have two sessions per city, each with identical training content. In order to accommodate working professionals, one class in each city will take place during a weekend.

The tour will continue in early 2003 with additional Canadian, U.S. East Coast and worldwide dates.
Todd Grimes, the lead trainer for the tour, is the creative principal of Evil Plan Studios, an artist-owned and operated studio that focuses on education and creative growth in the animation industry (www.evil-plan.com). Todd is an experienced Hollywood animator and has worked for numerous studios including Threshold Entertainment, Nickelodeon, and Warner Brothers. Additionally, some classes will feature special guests such as Aristomenis (www.menithings.com), Rich Hurrey of esc (currently working on The Matrix 2 and 3), Paul Davies of savage frog! (www.savagefrog.com), Rob Baldwin of Nickelodeon Digital, and Brad Peebler, president of Luxology and former vice president of 3D for NewTek.
