Venice, CA—Blur Studio has been selected to produce a computer-animated, simulator ride film based on the popular MGM television series Stargate for Bremen Space Park opening in October in Germany. The unique attraction will take visitors on an exhilarating journey through several alien worlds in pursuit of a key to a mysterious “stargate.” Aaron Powell and Yas Takata are co-directing the film for Blur Studio. Doug Yellin is executive producer on the project.
Stargate will be the third simulator ride film produced by Blur Studio to debut this year. The other two, based on Batman and the Jim Carrey film The Mask, debuted at the newly-opened Six Flags’ Warner Bros. Movie World Madrid.
Bremen Space Park, Germany’s first fully integrated entertainment and shopping center, will feature themed visual and technical attractions, more than 100 shops, 40 restaurants, a 162-room hotel and a 10-screen multiplex. Park attractions, which will also include a simulator ride based on Star Trek, will center on a theme of space exploration.
