AMD announces renewed partner deals with MAXON, eyeon and Assimilate.
AMD has released certified drivers with its W-series workstations that are tuned to optimize work for artists using a series of new partners, including MAXON with the CINEMA4D software, Assimilate Scratch v6 DI processing package and eyeon compositing software, Fusion. The technology architecture and performance provided by AMD FirePro W5000, W7000 and W8000 graphics cards help ensure that artists can push pixels as fast as technology allows.
AMD FirePro graphics cards support 30-bit color out-of-the-box via onboard DisplayPort connections and are certified to work seamlessly with third-party SDI I/O hardware – ensuring that eyeon Fusion users can use high bit-depth-capable, color-calibrated displays. Additionally, AMD Eyefinity multi-display technology allows three, four or more displays to be connected to a single AMD FirePro card.
Support for GPU-based acceleration technologies such as OpenCL, AMD FirePro cards dramatically accelerate many filters and effects in Fusion - such as defocus, noise generation, volume fog, volume mask, motion blur, and others. Fusion now fully supports AMD’s DirectGMA technology, which enables full compatibility with third-party SDI I/O hardware from vendors including AJA Blackmagic and Bluefish444.
AMD’s FirePro W8000 and V7900-SDI graphics cards operate in conjunction with advanced Assimilate Scratch v6-based DI and cinematic finishing workflows. Scratch artists now gain the flexibility and performance to effortlessly keep up with the most rigorous and complex of DI processing pipelines.
